Modern Legislative Leadership for National Transformation

Modern legislative leadership course is designed for a strategic positioning within the legislature. It will accommodate a strategic relationship frameworks of the legislative-executive relations and collaborations for national development including a focused-led legislative leadership with national development planning of the country. The course will offer participants with a strategic leadership skills, governance framework and ethics and the strategic policy development.

• Understand strategic parliamentary leadership skills, processes, and procedures.
• Open-up the dynamics of legislative-execution relations for national development.
• Equip participants with leadership components of the legislative oversight, lawmaking, and budget processes.
• Equip participants with best practices for legislative administration and policy formulation.
• Improve legislative-executive relations to enhance national governance.

Expected participants include Leaders of Legislatures (Regional, National and State Houses of Assembly/Legislatures); Clerks, Permanent Secretaries and Directorate Level Staff; Senior Public Servants (e.g., Permanent Secretaries, Executive Secretaries); Legislative Aides and Legislative Staff.
